Haworth Home and School Association Committees

We have many shoes to fill for the 2017-2018 school year!!

Below is a full list of our current committees and descriptions of the committee responsibilites. If you are interested in volunteering on a particular committee or in becoming a committee chairperson, and are already a member, simply log onto your account and click the VOLUNTEER tab to sign up.

If you are not yet a member and would like to volunteer you can contact any member of the executive board to do so.

After-School Enrichment Program
Chair:   Tina Stratton

After-School Enrichment is a wonderful program that provides after school classes for our children. Some exciting classes in the past have been Outragehiss Pets, photography, yoga, arts, chess, golf and tennis to name a few!

We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers to help with this amazing program that we offer our children. Below we have highlighted some of the responsiblities.  Please contact us if you have a few hours to spare!

Class Parent Liaison
Chair:   Dawn Plump
Thursday After-School Enrichment
Chair:   Tina Stratton
Author Visits
Chair:   Jody Rozenblit

Coordinate author and illustrator visits for K-8 with the school librarian.

Book Fairs
Chair:   Ari Condos

Coordinate book fair in March 2018 (20, 21 & 23) and the family night event. Multiple volunteers needed to set up, sell, and take down the event. 

Box Tops
Chair:   Karen Bevilacqua

Collect box tops from each grade and submit them to box tops for education. 

Save your box tops because the classroom that collects the most wins a prize. Check out for a list of your favorite foods that carry the box top label. Also link your ShopRite card on the website for bonus box tops!! This year we raised over $500 for our school.

Drama Committee
Chair:   Mary Anne Doran/Sue Robichek Grade 5-8 and Joana Penna/Karen Loewy Grade 2-4

Coordinators over see the two school plays. Multiple volunteers needed for ticket sales, flower sales, concession and raffles on the performance days. As well as help with the cast party and movie night. 

High School Scholarship Program
Chair:   Barbara Martin

In June the HHSA awards a scholarship to a former Haworth School boy and girl graduating from Northern Valley Demarest.

Ladies Night Event

Volunteers needed to help with Ladies Night - January 25th.



Lunch Program

The Men's Night committee hosts Poker Night on Saturday, March 17th.

NV Coalition Talent Show

Monthly Teacher Appreciation Lounge
Chair:   Stacey Wunsch

Treats and snacks provided twice a month to the teachers lounge. The chair person will coordinate the monthly volunteers. VOLUNTEERS are needed each month to arrange a treat and drop off to the teachers lounge. This is greatly appreciated by the teachers!!

A family fun event!! Volunteers needed to decorate their cars as well as volunteers for making great treats.

Our goal is to support and enhance the work of school staff and the Board of Education in providing an enriched school experience for our children. The HHSA relies entirely on dedicated volunteers to plan, run, and raise the necessary funding to make it all possible.
