Dear Parents /
Guardians:
The Haworth Home and School Association is pleased to announce that our School
Lunch Program fundraiser is back. It is an all-volunteer run program and happens to be one of
the HHSA’s largest sources of revenue. Proceeds from this program help to pay for quality enrichment programs
and facilities enhancements at the Haworth School.
Please see the important information below:
* Coming Soon! – In the next few days, you’ll receive an Ed Connect email
letting you know that orders may be placed for the month of October.
* Wednesday, September 30th - Ordering will close promptly at noon. The orders will then go directly
to the vendors. Late orders,
unfortunately, cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
* This year we will be using FormSite.com
as our ordering website since it affords our association more flexibility
regarding programming. We
feel confident that you will like the new site as it is easy to navigate and
convenient to use. Click the Link above, open an account, make your selections, and pay with your
credit card on this secure site.
* IF ORDERING FOR MORE THAN ONE CHILD,
you MUST close the browser window after your first order (“X” out of the webpage and place a completely new order for
each additional child.) If you do
not do this for each child’s order, your order will not be input correctly and
we will not have a record of what each of your children ordered.
* The vendors and selections are
the same as last year: Michael’s
Bagels on Monday, Minit Mart on Tuesday, Pizza Express on Wednesday, Tri-Valley
Diner on Thursday, and Naturoll on Friday. Come November, we hope to incorporate your suggestions for
new menu items to update our offerings.
It is our goal to ensure full satisfaction for all those taking part in the HHSA sponsored lunch program. The HHSA program is managed and run by a group of parent volunteers who contract various vendors to provide food for our children.
With the exception of the fault
of either the vendor to provide healthy and safe food, or the HHSA to have a
meal available for your child on the day for which it has been purchased and
school is in session, the HHSA cannot issue any refunds or credits, partial or
whole, once the orders have been placed.
Only in the event that food is deemed unsafe or that a meal is not available for the HHSA to serve to a child who has paid for it, the HHSA will offer first a credit toward the next ordering period, or if that is not possible, a pro-rated refund for that particular day.
Children’s tastes change frequently, and they often do not like to be surprised with foods they have never tried before. The HHSA strongly advises all families to visit each vendor being considered and sample the food prior to ordering.
In addition, on days that the school is closed to due snow or other emergency situations, the HHSA cannot issue any refunds, or credits, partial or whole, due to the fact that situations such as these are beyond our control.
As a result of our limited manpower, both to manage as well as to distribute the meals each day, we cannot accommodate changes, credits or refunds, partial or whole, once the orders have been placed and entered into our system.
A special thank you to the volunteers who have spent hundreds of hours, combined,
working to make this program possible. We value and appreciate all they have done. And, please do volunteer on the lunch program if at all
possible. You may email your
interest to Dina O’Donnell at HHSALunchVolunteers@gmail.com. Thanks!
Please note: We CANNOT under any circumstances accept late orders since the system is now automated. If you miss the cut off date, you must wait for the next ordering period to place your order for the next lunch session.
Kind regards and we look forward to serving our children.
Sincerely,
Rebekah Zelman, HHSA President,
on behalf of the HHSA Lunch Committee
