Available Positions
Recording Secretary needed to keep accurate and permanent records of all HHSA meetings, to count a rising vote when requested by the presiding officer; and to publish the minutes on the bulletin board and website within two weeks of the HHSA general meeting.
Corresponding Secretary needed to notify Executive Board members, Committee Chairpersons, class parents, teacher representatives, administrators and school board liaison of all meetings in advance. Also needed to conduct any correspondence authorized by the President including the sending of thank you notes to our supporters.
Publicity Chairperson and Committee Members needed to be responsible for all media publicity for the HHSA as well as to create signs for upcoming events and activities.
Karaoke Night Chairperson and Committee Members needed to help coordinate and run Karaoke Night for grades 4-6.
Membership Chairperson needed to organize and maintain a membership list which will be generated from our website once our members have paid their dues online. The chairperson shall also submit the list of members to the President and update it as needed.
Hospitality Chairperson and Committee needed to be responsible for refreshments at the Teachers' Breakfast on the first day back to school for teachers, to secure and deliver gifts for staff, faculty and administrators for Teacher/ Staff Appreciation Day in May, and to organize lunch and refreshments for the Staff Appreciation Lunch in early June.
Newsletter Editor/Chairperson and Committee Members. Committee Members needed to solicit advertisements for the HHSA newsletter that is published three times during the school year. Editor needed for the publishing and mailing of the newsletter town wide .
Cultural Arts Committee Co-Chairperson and Committee Members - Pending the creation of this committee at the first HHSA meeting in the fall, a Co-chair is needed to be responsible for musical arts enrichment. In addition, committee members are needed who are interested in developing comprehensive musical and fine arts enrichment opportunities for our children in order to complement and support the excellent programs we already have in place.
