Scholastic Book Fair: Calling All HPS Families!

For those of you who might be new or need a quick reminder,

here are the things you need to know regarding the Scholastic Book Fair!

  1. BINGO: Wednesday, March 11th, 7:00pm, Multipurpose Room, $5 Cash at the Door, Grades K-8. Opportunities for your kiddos to win $$$ to be used at the Scholastic Book Fair! Bingo winners will be awarded $20.00 gift certificates.

  2. LOCKER LOTTERY: Monday, March 16th - Thursday, March 19, Grades 5-8. Each day students will be randomly chosen from a class roster to win a $20.00 gift certificate. The announcement will be made in the morning over the PA system and a note will be left on that lucky students’ locker with instructions to go to the main office to retrieve their certificate.

  3. Class Sign Up: You will be contacted by your class parent informing you of the date & time that your child’s class will be attending the book fair.

  4. Money$$: If you are unable to attend the book fair with your child’s class, please be sure to send along an envelope with your child’s name, grade and teacher printed on the outside. Inside the envelope, we suggest $20.00 cash for grades K-4 and $30-$40.00 cash for grades 5-8 as a good spending amount.

  5. Round Up: Please be aware that we are asking all families to participate in the “Round Up” which simply takes the final purchase amount and rounds it up to the nearest dollar. That change then goes toward the purchase of wish list books for your child’s class or toward the purchase of books for underserved schools.

  6. HPS Family Event: Wednesday, March 25th, 6:00pm, Gym. During this event there will be a Teacher Sponsored Event with attending students, Mystery Reader, and Raffle basket of books and other fun opportunities.
